Hello! My name is Alicia but I like to be called Lisa. I love working with people and making connections. I have My Bachelors Degree from Upper Iowa University in Psychology and an Associates of Human Services from Gateway Technical College in Racine. I am a Wisconsin licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC ) since 2017. I have spent the past 20+ years working in the field of Human Services. I have a very diverse background and it has made me appreciate and love individuals from all cultural backgrounds and experiences. I thrive in environments that allow for individuality and creativity. I have worked in AODA, Mental Health and Crisis with both youth and adults. I developed and managed a program for Homeless young adults. The program was a success and because of my strong community collaboration, that program has grown to serve a larger population. I am able to empathize with my clientele as I have been in recovery myself for over 15 years. I have direct experience with the challenges that come from starting over and living clean. I enjoy life on life’s terms and people love my optimism, strength and “tell it like it is” attitude. I am straightforward, caring, and I have great empathy for people and I believe I have a calling to help those in need. In my free time I attend 12-step meetings, work out at the gym, hang out with my son, play with my 3 dogs, create art in all forms, and live, love, and laugh as often as I can.
