Genesis Behavioral Services

Genesis Behavioral Services (Genesis) has been serving communities in Wisconsin since 1973. Genesis is a provider of substance abuse and mental health services in outpatient and residential settings and transitional living and correctional programs utilizing evidence based curricula and gender-specific treatment modalities. The vision for Genesis is to continue to expand steadily in the future in order to continue to evolve and expand in order to best serve our clients and to strive for excellence in all aspects of the behavioral health field. One can expect to be treated with professionalism, respect and compassion. Services will be delivered by appropriately credentialed staff with specialized training and experience in the area of your identified needs and/or concerns. One will be fully involved in every phase of your care and will understand every aspect of a treatment plan specifically designed to meet your individual needs. The goal of care will always be to achieve agreed-upon objectives in the manner least disruptive to your life and most consistent with your wishes.

Half-Way House Programs

Residential programs offer programming to address substance abuse, mental health, parenting, pro-social skill development, anger management, trauma issues, family education, domestic violence, and/or cognitive behavioral therapy and drug screening. Services are funded by counties, the Department of Corrections, insurance, and/or self-pay. Genesis has residential/half-way house programs located in Kenosha, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Sheboygan, and Racine.

Transitional Living Programs

Genesis TLP’s are funded through the Department of Corrections and are available via referral from the client’s DOC agent. Genesis has TLP’s located in Kenosha, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, and Racine.

The programs and services provided by our agency, as described herein, are subsidized by the Milwaukee Country Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). In addition to significant financial support, DHHS also provide our agency with advice and guidance pertaining to program development, quality assurance, compliance, and related matters.
